Day plus 4, the fun begins

Just an update on by beautiful wife.. She woke up this morning finding out that her hemoglobin was below what the doctors would like, so they are giving her 2 bags of blood to try and help her out. She is also getting an I V drip for some fluids, and a morphine pump for the pain she is having in her throat and stomach. It seems to be working, but making her a little tired. But for some reason she refuses to sleep, she thinks she needs to watch her Packers play understadably. The morphine seems to be helping, she is able to drink a little without being in a whole lot of pain. She goes from being free and able to walk around to being stuck in bed and hooked up to a machine with about 50 tubes and wires hooked up to her. Looks like she is resting comfortably, probly because it is about half-time of the game. That's about all for now. GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're doing a fantastic job, Scott - being there with Skye, humouring her Packers obsession ;o) and keeping us in the loop. We're thinking about you all the time - let Skye know, if she doesn't already, that Brian (Califguy) has some cells already - he's day +10 and had a count of 0.3 today - he's doing well, that'll be Skye soon........ride this wave, keep the meds going and before you know it, it'll be a memory.............x

ps - hope the Packers won - no sulking, if they didn't :p

Even though Tyler's a Vikings fan, I told him I was hoping the Packers would win, just for you. And they did! Hope you're feeling better!

Oh,I was so afraid that your were anemic. All that yawning and the tiredness, just seemed so much like your Hgb was done. Well take that old blood and boost your iron and oxygen back up!! Was really good to see you. Hope crazy uncle Mike gave you a couple laughs.

Skye, Hope today you are feeling better. Just wanted to let you know the boys are doing great, they miss you and can't wait until you come home, but they are being good boys for me. Riley went to school today. Kaden is in his room making me food to eat. Scott's mom and dad had the boys all day yesterday, so I got some work done around here. Keep up the good work and know things will get better every day. hugs and Kiss from the boys. Love mom

love you both and thinking of you. I was even glad for Brett yesterday on breaking the record, just cuz I knew it would make you smile, maybe not more than the fact they beat the vikes made you smile. I was wondering if I would get a call from you last night, even though you weren't feeling well. You really must not have felt well considering I didn't get my "rub it in" call!! Hope you are doing better today. Love you

I am so sad I haven't made it there yet, but know I am always thinking of you and I am sending all my love.

Hey big sis (and Scott), I am sorry to hear that you aren't feeling as good as you once were. I am sure that the morphine helps things. I am sure that you did not need morphine to get you through that awesome game yesterday. Can you believe we are 4-0??? Anyway, Scott you are doind a great job keeping us all up to date. Thanks for that, and for being Skye's rock! Take care, and try to keep your spirits up. I suppose I should pretend like I am working, before wsomeone catches me. Lots of Love!!!

Hey, there. I hope you're feeling better since the transfusion. Keep your eyes on the prize and all that jazz. Did you hear the latest scoop at work? There's no longer a clinic director and no one knows if there will be. The new wing *still* hasn't opened! The Goobernator visited last week, though, and walked through the area. I hope you're keyboard has been sanitized for your protection and you'll be strong enough to update soon.

Hi Skye - justs checking in - hope you're handing in there and you're not too bad with side-effects - if you are, I sincerely hope the pain meds are keeping the worst of it at bay..........

Wullie has hit the magic day +100 today - when he was in hospital, it seemed an eternity away, but I can assure you it passes far quicker than you think........big hugs, Skye...........xx

HEY Skye...how's it going? Just checked in for another update. Hope you feel up to watching some movies and coloring by now. Any idea when you can move out of the hospital room? Will you get to stay in one of the transitional apartments before you come home?
I think of you ofen.

Hey big sis! I thought I would just drop you a line and let you know that I am thinking about you. Claire can clearly say "Hi Skye" now, but she refuses to perform in front of anybody. I think mom may have heard it on the phone last night, and she says it for Jodi too. However as soon as the video camera comes out, she looses her voice. When you are feeling up to taking calls, maybe we will try it over the phone. Anyway, I don't have much to report, other than a dog pooped and peed inside the Credit union yesterday. Let me tell you, it was absolutely hillarious. So funny in fact that we rewound the tape and watched it again. Well, that is all the gossip I have today, so I suppose I should pretend like I am working again. Take care, and we LOVE you very much.
Love,
Crystal and family :)
